This project was for a major expansion of the Atlantic Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facility in Point Fortin, Trinidad. The combination of marine and land construction operations involved thousands of driven piles. 3 variations of octagonal prestressed concrete piles and steel open-ended pipe piles were used across the construction site. The land operations alone included tank structures founded on upwards of 2,000 piles.
AFT’s role in this expansion included PDA, CAPWAP® analysis, and driving criteria recommendations. AFT also served as expert consultants on foundation construction challenges.
